Hong Kong Events - March 2027

March 2027 is Art March. Art Basel Hong Kong returns to the Convention Centre from 25 to 27 March, the Hong Kong Flower Show fills Victoria Park with the theme "China Rose" from 12 to 21 March, and the 55th Hong Kong Arts Festival is still running across the city. BTS bring their ARIRANG world tour to Kai Tak on 4, 6 and 7 March, and the Easter long weekend falls at the end of the month, 26 to 29 March. In Mong Kok the weather turns mild and damp, the art-week crowds lift hotel prices on Hong Kong Island, and the district works as a cheaper, more local base for all of it.

🧭 Practical notes for March

  • Book Art Basel and BTS early: 4-7 March and 25-27 March are the two booking peaks of the month, and both draw visitors from across the region.
  • Hotels: Art Basel week pushes up prices on Hong Kong Island; Mong Kok is a cheaper base with a direct MTR ride to the fair. See nearby hotels.
  • Easter: the four-day weekend (26-29 March) follows immediately after Art Basel, so the last week of the month is the busiest of the month for the markets.
  • Weather: mild and humid with more cloud and drizzle than January and February - the weather guide has the month-by-month pattern.
  • Flower Show timing: go on a weekday morning; Victoria Park is a short MTR ride from Mong Kok and weekends in the second week are crowded.
  • Free alternatives: the M+ and HKPM concourses and the district's own market streets. See the district comparison guide.

Confirmed vs expected: the Flower Show (12-21 March), Art Basel (25-27 March), BTS at Kai Tak (4, 6 and 7 March) and the Easter holidays (26-29 March) all carry confirmed 2027 dates. The 55th Hong Kong Arts Festival is confirmed as opening on 18 February and running through March. Nothing on this page relies on an unconfirmed 2027 date.
